Miraculous Survival After Cardiac Arrest And Multiple Shocks
63 yrs Female presented in emergency of Deepak heart institute with severe breathlessness and Irregular Heart Beat. Patient was immediately attended by team of cardiologist And Intensivist ( Dr. Ujjaval Chandra Mehrotra, Sr. Interventional Cardiologist – & Electrophysiologist, Dr. Harmanpreet Singh, Cardiologist, Dr. Sanjay Yadav, Cardiac Intensivist). Soon after presentation in emergency patient started throwing fast heart rate (Ventricular Tachycardia) and Cardiac arrest immediately multiple shocks (DC Cardio versions) were given and patient was revived. Patient was then treated on medications and Strict vigilance.
Again patient had episodes of VT (Ventricular Tachycardia) for which again DC shock was given and fast pacing was done through TPI to control the ventricular Rate. Patient was on multiple intravenous medications.
Coronary angiography of patient showed Minor Coronary Artery Disease. Patient was stabilized and finally AICD (Automatic Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator) was Implanted and patient was discharged in stable condition on medical advice.
The uniqueness of this case was that unlikeness of survival of patients with decreased LV function, Ventricular Tachycardia and multiple shocks.
